Is old Diplomacy became outmoded by New Diplomacy?

Since the first city-states diplomacy has been playing and important role in society. However the constant changes in the world, some so important such as the World Wars I and II, have been eroding the ‘old diplomacy’, giving place for a ‘new’ and modern diplomacy, more globalized as the world is now, the secrets, exclusives and high politics have been changed for a contrasting, open, transparent, inclusive and no more high politics.

To say that 'old diplomacy' became outmoded, we need to compare with the ‘new diplomacy’, and we can find, that obviously there are so many changes in this globalized world, but the basic elements has not been eroded, they still as they were.

In my opinion old diplomacy far from being outmoded, has been updated and globalized, a modernization had took place, but ‘old’ or ‘new’ still diplomacy, states remain in contact, multilateral or bilateral with embassies and foreign offices.
